Tomas Slavik takes a win at hot and sunny Leamington Spa, first round of British 4X series.
The crowds were out in force to see the super exciting racing in all categories. All fastest UK Pro's took part in this race, but it was Tomas Slavik who was the fastest on the hill and took a big win in Leamington.
" It's my first race of British 4X series and honestly it was awesome. Fast riders, big crowds and the atmosphere in general was fantastic. I was feeling great, my gates were fast, track speed was perfect and I have won all my heats and final as well. This season I will be pretty busy with racing, but hopefully I will be able to come back to UK for some races of British series, because it really worth it. Next race for me is 4X Pro Tour in Belgium and three weeks before first race of world series I can say Im in really good shape..."
Tomas is on a winning strike - 2 victories out of 2 races! Tomas also did a loads of photoshooting in UK for Mountaingbiking UK, DIRT magazine etc. We will keep you updated. Tomas Slavik took a big win at first race of 4X Pro Tour series, which started in Houffalize, Belgium.
It was saturday night when fourcross started writting new chapter of world series in 4X called 4X Pro Tour. After seperating from UCI the new world series was set up, it has 5 stops at the best 4X tracks and first one was in Houffalize. It was really EPIC!
Under the lights the best fourcross show begins! Thousands of spectators was lined all the way down the track and they were going insane. The best 4X riders all over the world were putting it to a different level with their performance. As the fastest guy on the hill was at the end Tomas Slavik, who won all his heats and didn't give a chance to anybody. He took well deserved gold medal. Team mate Michal Marosi was on fire whole night, but unfortunaly crashed in 1/4 final.
"Im stoked with my win at first race of 4X Pro Tour. You know its new beggining of world series in fourcross and its always good to win historical first race. Im satisfied with my performance tonight, I went smooth on track, had good gates, didn't do any mistakes..just everything went as it should go every race. And in general the race was awesome. There was a massive crowd cheering, good organisation, nice track and it was just a big show. I enjoyed every single second on the track. Can't wait for another race of the series in Poland."
After winning at 4X Pro Tour in Houffalize Slavik did a "hattrick" with his wins and did win all of his heats this year. Next stop of 4X Pro Tour is 5th May in Sczawno Zdroj, Poland.
