We are pleased to announce the launch of Hiro, a new multi-sport eyewear model from our eyewear lineup, designed to perform across a wide range of active pursuits -- from cycling and running to trekking and beyond.
The newly added Hiro is the lightest model in the series, achieving a remarkable 17g. Through a streamlined frame design and ultra-thin, lightweight NXT photochromic lenses, it delivers a featherlight wearing experience that remains comfortable even during extended use.
Slim yet securely fitting temples accommodate the diverse movements of running, cycling, and walking. Designed with consideration for the vertical motion of running, vibrations during cycling, and forward-leaning postures, the Hiro delivers a comfortable and stable fit across a wide range of activities. The NXT photochromic lenses provide clear, undistorted vision while keeping weight to a minimum -- suitable for use from bright daylight through to low-light conditions.
Built around the series-lightest weight of 17g, and engineered for comfortable wear and stable vision, the Hiro is a model that performs reliably across everyday training and outdoor activities alike.
★NXT Photochromic Lens
NXT photochromic lenses are ultra-high-performance lenses with photochromic capability for use from day through night, featuring excellent optical properties with minimal distortion or degradation, alongside outstanding durability and exceptional lightness. The NXT material was originally developed through a project to create ultra-lightweight bulletproof protection, and surpasses polycarbonate in lightness, impact resistance, and durability. Leveraging these properties, the lenses comfortably exceed strength standards while achieving a significant reduction in lens thickness compared to conventional options.
Functions & Technology
● Asian-Fit Cylindrical Wide Lens
Features an Asian-fit cylindrical (barrel-shaped) wide lens for both an expansive field of vision and an excellent fit.
●Anti-Reflective Coating
A coating applied to the lens surface to suppress reflections. Particularly effective at improving visibility with high-transmittance lenses such as clear variants.
●Wide Range of Visible Light Transmission
Utilizes the lens with the widest photochromic transition range in the NXT photochromic lineup. The photochromic agents are blended directly into the lens material during molding, offering superior durability of photochromic performance compared to traditional coated photochromic lenses.
●Temples Designed for Diverse Activities
The newly developed slim temples, designed for multi-use applications, are engineered to flex appropriately and conform to the contours of the face. Combined with the effect of soft pads, they achieve both lightweight performance and a secure, slip-resistant fit.
●Eco-Friendly Rilsan® Clear G850 Rnew (Polyamide) Frame Material
To realize an environmentally conscious design, the Hiro frame uses Rilsan® Clear G850 Rnew (polyamide), an eco-friendly material containing 45% plant-derived content.
● Adjustable Nose Pad with 3-Position Height Setting
A stable nose pad with three height adjustment positions for a personalized and secure fit.
●Inner Frame Compatible
Supports a dedicated inner frame (nylon rimless style), sold separately.
■Color / Size
Frame colors are available in two options: Crystal Clear and Black Clear.
Lens colors include NXT Silver Clear Photochromic, NXT Rose Clear Photochromic, and NXT Sky Clear Photochromic -- available in a total of three frame and lens color combinations.
