2026 NEW COLOR: SB-03

Kabuto is pleased to announce the release of two new limited-edition colors, Matte Khaki and Matte Sakura, for the sporty visor-type commuter helmet SB-03.

These two new colors were developed through Kabuto's participation in the "Safety Bicycle Promotion School"* initiative, jointly conducted by the Osaka Prefectural Government and the Osaka Prefectural Police to raise students' awareness of bicycle traffic safety.

As part of this initiative, Kabuto worked together with representative students from registered schools Konko Fujin High School and Midoriseiho High School, exploring the theme: "What kind of helmet would high school students want to wear themselves?"

During the process, we also focused on students' opinions regarding the existing color lineup. After conducting surveys and interviews, the two colors that received the most requests were selected. Based on feedback from the students, the colors were refined through repeated adjustments before being brought to life as products.

Matte Khaki was selected by the public Midoriseiho High School in Higashiosaka City. Inspired by the rich natural surroundings of the school, the kingfisher, and the "midori" (green) sentiment expressed in the school song, the color was carefully adapted to create a shade that everyone can feel comfortable wearing.

Matte Sakura was selected by the private Konko Fujin High School in Osaka City. Reflecting the school's free-spirited environment that encourages students to develop their individuality, the color was created with a flexible approach, resulting in a soft and gentle impression not previously seen in the commuter helmet lineup.

*The Safety Bicycle Promotion School initiative aims to improve traffic safety awareness among high school students in Osaka Prefecture by encouraging students to "think, learn, and act" for themselves regarding safe bicycle use and the importance of wearing helmets, while promoting better understanding of traffic rules and manners.
